Netflix Tv Box

Welcome to Netflix TV, here you'll find everything there is know about streaming Netflix movies and other content through boxes, blu-ray players, and console systems.

About Netflix TV

Netflix TV was born out of the desire of the company to move forward in expansion and maintaining it's business. While Netflix has had (and continues to have) great success with it's by-mail business, it also needed a way to tap into a rising trend of users who were going to get their movies and TV online. Despite being frequently criticized for it's slow response to online streaming, Netflix has proven that it can be a powerful player in the space through TV and online streaming offerings. You can now use Netflix streaming with a number of devices including Blu-ray players, Tivo boxes, it's own Roku product and most recently the Microsoft Xbox systems.More information about devices you can use to stream Netflix can be found below.

Dump Your Cable for a Netflix TV Box

In the midst of one of the worst recessions the globe has ever seen, as consumers we often look for ways to cut back and tighten the belt. Naturally, TV is usually one of the first things to be put up on the chopping block. Not so fast, though, you tell yourself, how will I keep myself entertained when I'm going out less to begin with? One easy method is to remove or cut down on your TV expenses by trading it in for a cheaper (and in many ways superior) alternative: A Netflix TV Box like the Roku. more >>

Netflix Streaming Devices

Roku

If you're looking to stream your Netflix movies and shows to your TV, but don't have a device currently capable of doing so, your best bet is to buy the Roku, which was created by the firm itself. Attractively priced and easy to setup, the Roku player looks like a little black box that's setup near your TV. It has built in wireless capability and can be hooked up and ready to go in 30 seconds (if you rush!). There are also no extra fees for using the device other than the upfront cost, so you'll be able to access the firm's online library through your TV with just a standard membership.

Nintendo Wii

Nintendi Wii is the latest addition to the plethora of options for streaming your Netflix movies and episodes to your TV. We've written up a brief guide to adding Netflix to Your Wii.

LG BD300 Network Blu-ray Player

If you're looking for a high end device able to play Blu-Ray Movies in Full High Definition while also streaming your favorite Netflix movies in standard definition, then the LGBD300 has all of the capability you could ask for. The player also increases the quality of standard DVDs to 1080p, almost but not quite HD scale. Unfortunately with increased capability comes increased cost, and the LG BD300 will run you a good couple hundred dollars more than the Roku.

Samsung BD-P2500/BD-P2550

Samsung's Blu-ray player is of comparable and quality as the LG. Promising to deliver the ultimate interactive experience, the P2500 is BD-Live 2.0 ready. This means that you can enjoy a number of interactive features and download extra content as needed (including netflix TV streaming) from the internet. As with the LG, you'll be able to enjoy full 1080p resolution. Like any Blu-ray player, the BD-P2500 will run you much more than other less-robust devices, such as the Roku.

TiVo HD DVR

If you're already a TiVo subscriber, then you'll be happy to know that their HD DVR Box now has the ability to stream Netflix movies as well. The cost of the box itself is comparable to other players, and works with digital and analog antenna. Currently, satellite is not supported. The box also allows you to save up to 20 hours of HD programming at a time, and can record two shows at once in the High Definition format.

Microsoft X-box 360

While not carrying as much definition power as it's Blu-Ray counterparts, the X-box 360 does have a substantial gaming library and also has DVD functionality. If you happen to have the system anyway this is definitely a viable choice, although we should note you do have to be a subscriber to Microsoft's X-Box Live service in order to access it's Netflix stream capabilities.
